A wonderful token villain song of greedy, capitalism, and general plundering of natures recourses in disregard for anyone or anything but your own self gain. Its meant as a precautionary “look how bad they are” tale, but I of course love it for the bad reasons. The song also serves as a “just in case you forgot” moment that the entire movie is propaganda to remind us that Natives = good and noble, Whites = bad and greedy.

Motion pictures like these need to be shown….Hiding films like this one is like shelving paintings and great novels because a few of us want to close our eyes and pretent it never happened ( slavery)…Song of the South is a beautiful story for children and adults alike….

This was always what I thought of when I heard the term Gorilla Mask for years until I found out that it was an abusive but hilarious sex degradation act.

This speaks to me much more than the original video where the singer just undresses on a snowy cliff and jumps off it.
