All Dogs Go to Heaven: Let Me Be Surprised

I always thought this movie was a little awkward, and this song is up there in that area all up until the actual main “Let Me Be Surprised” part of the song which is pretty catchy.
Having died, Charlie goes to Heaven by default, despite not having done a single nice thing in his life; as the angelic Heavenly Whippet explains, “unlike people, dogs are naturally good and loyal and kind”. Dissatisfied at having died before his time, Charlie takes back his ‘life watch’ (a glowing pocket watch) and winds it up again, forsaking his place in Heaven and returning himself to Earth. While he has been returned to life, and cannot die while his life watch still ticks, when it does stop he will be condemned to Hell for eternity. (As the Heavenly Whippet says through the watch, “You can never come back.”)

Jurassic Park. Dilophosaurus Scene

The famous scene from Jurassic Park when an apparantly sweet-looking Dilophosaur dinosaur suddenly turns vicious, attacking Dennis Nedry.

Unfortunately, the real Dilophosaurus was nothing like this. From Wikipedia:

Dilophosaurus was prominently featured both in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park, and in the original novel by Michael Crichton. In the film version, Dilophosaurus has a retractable neck frill around its neck (much like a frill-necked lizard), and spits blinding poison, aiming for the eyes to blind and paralyze its prey. There is no evidence to support either the frill or the venom spitting,[4] which was acknowledged by Crichton as creative license.[5] In the film, Steven Spielberg also reduced Dilophosaurus’s size to 3 feet tall and 5 feet long, much smaller than it should have been.

Jurassic Park merchandise, including toys and video games (such as Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis and the arcade games The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III), often include Dilophosaurus. Another video game, ParaWorld, features a Dilophosaurus modeled after the ones in Jurassic Park. Yet another dinosaur-themed game, Jurassic Wars, featured a Dilophosaurus, which spat venomous saliva, just as described in the movie.

The Storyteller. The Soldier and Death

Returning from war, a young solider trades his last biscuit for a magical sack..into which anything summoned will enter! Trapping devils and even death itself, the solder brings peace to his country. But Death soon proves a greater enemy captured then free.
My favorite of the Storyteller series, though its close with the Heartless Giant. Brilliantly written, executed, acted and edited and the cinematography here is the best from the series. The card game with the devils gives m the same excitement chills it did when I first saw it in kindergarden in 1989 and every time afterward on tape.
Best lines:

Devil: That’s a nice whistle. Ahh want ta hav it!

Soldier: So… what shall we play for?
Devil 1: his soul!
Devil 2: his whistle
Devil 3: his TEETH…. aye collect teeth…
